In many cases of chronic fatigue, the first place we need to look is the gut. Are there pathogenic bacteria, a parasite or fungi zapping his energy by draining valuable nutrients away or circulating toxins? Thankfully James had no obvious issues in his gut markers, so this was not a priority for treatment.
It was a little tough for James at the start. His body had got so used to having a readily available supply of sugar to run on, he craved it big time. But he understood to lose weight and eliminate those blood sugar swings he needed to convert to burning fat for energy. That just won’t happen if sugar is readily available.
Kicking his brain into gear by supplementing dopamine support restored clarity of thinking and motivation to succeed.
We needed to do something to help his energy factory fast. The first step was to provide much needed resources with individual support of mitochondrial nutrient cofactors to correct blocks in cellular energy production.
The second step was to bring in more staff to man the energy factory. A supplement called PQQ to help him make new mitochondria increasing the numbers of efficient work stations on the production line was the way to go.
James was able to start shedding kilos in the first few weeks after starting a supplemental support program. His energy started to return, and he managed a return to karate training.
The third area we needed to support was production of glutathione and the raw ingredients to kick start liver clearance of toxins. As you lose weight fat cells give off stored toxins and can make you sick. That’s often where fast weight loss diets fall down. It’s not sustainable.
One last thing I often recommend is taking a binder 40 minutes before breakfast each day to bind toxins in the gut for elimination. This ensures you don’t re circulate the waste and start to feel un well.
Hooray! Six months after our first consult James reached his goal. He had lost 25 kg in fat and completed a full 24-hour gruelling black belt karate examination.
I was Soooo… impressed with James’ determination and resolve. He is a prime example of what can be achieved. Congratulation James. He has proved there is life beyond chronic fatigue.
